Inter-religious Dialogue: An Ecumenical Priority

At the meeting of the World Council of Churches' Central Committee, the Moderator of the Central Committee, His Holiness Aram I, challenged the churches and the ecumenical movement to increase engagement and dialogue with people of other faiths. Citing the critical role of religion in society, the reality of globalization, and theological perspectives, the Moderator outlines ways forward in dialogue and action.

The Moderator and the WCC inter-religious relations and dialogue office invites the wider ecumenical movement to publicly discuss the ideas raised in this report.
